Elrow India 2026 Guide: Mumbai (May 17) & Bengaluru (May 23) | Tickets, Venue, Lineup & Where to Stay

0
(0)

More than 6 million people across 50+ cities and 40 countries have danced inside an elrow set since the brand started in Spain in 2010 (Wikipedia). On 17 May and 23 May 2026, India finally gets its turn — Mumbai first, Bengaluru a week later. We’ve put together this guide because most of the coverage so far stops at “lineup announced.” If you’re flying in for the weekend with friends, you need a lot more than a ticket: you need transit, timings, dress notes, and a place to crash that isn’t a 4 AM cab queue out of Worli.

Elrow returns to India in May 2026 with two dates — Mumbai on Sunday, 17 May at NSCI Dome, SVP Stadium (Worli) and Bengaluru on Saturday, 23 May (venue TBA — we’re updating this page within 24 hours of the announcement). The ‘Kaos Garden’ theme, designed by Spanish artist Okuda San Miguel, has reached over 6 million attendees in 50+ cities globally (Wikipedia). Tickets are on BookMyShow (Mumbai) and District by Zomato (Bengaluru). For groups travelling in, this guide covers transit, timings and where to stay.

What Is Elrow? The ‘Kaos Garden’ Theme Explained

Elrow is a Spanish electronic music brand that started in 2010 in Viladecans, near Barcelona, and is run by the Arnau family. Its signature is theatrical, immersive parties — confetti drops, costumed performers walking through the crowd, elaborate stage installations — built around rotating themes that travel city to city. The 2026 India theme, ‘Kaos Garden,’ was designed by Madrid-born street artist Okuda San Miguel. It reimagines Hieronymus Bosch’s 16th-century painting The Garden of Earthly Delights as a living, multi-coloured electronic universe (Okuda San Miguel).

elrow India 2026 in mumbai

What does that look like in practice? Multicoloured skulls that open mid-set. Flying mountains. Mythical creatures roaming the floor. Performers who don’t perform at you but with you. The Bengaluru edition runs the newer ‘Neo Kaos Garden’ evolution of the theme — same DNA, refreshed visuals (elrow.com).

For scale context: elrow Town Italy 2024 pulled in 35,000 people in a single day, and the Madrid 2025 edition ran eight stages with 70+ artists. India is getting the same production-grade format — just adapted for a smaller, more concentrated indoor venue in Mumbai and a larger open-format venue in Bengaluru.

When Is Elrow Mumbai 2026 and How Do I Reach NSCI Dome?

Elrow Mumbai 2026 happens on Sunday, 17 May 2026 at NSCI Dome, SVP Stadium — D Wing, First Floor, NSCI, SVP Stadium, Lala Lajpatrai Marg, Lotus Colony, Worli, Mumbai 400018. The Dome is a 1-lakh-sq-ft indoor venue with a 38,000-sq-ft arena floor and a 40-ft clear ceiling, regularly used for large-scale concerts and events (Dome India). It seats roughly 3,000–4,000 in concert configuration, which makes the Mumbai date the more intimate of the two India editions.

How to reach NSCI Dome, Worli

  • By Metro: The closest station is Acharya Atre Chowk on Mumbai Metro Line 3 — an 11-minute walk to the venue (Moovit). This is the cleanest option if you’re staying anywhere along the Line 3 corridor.
  • By train: Prabhadevi Station is about 6.1 km from the venue, roughly 15 minutes via Senapati Bapat Marg.
  • By bus: Routes 83, A-37, A-62, A-85, A-92, C-305 and C-86 all stop nearby. The Nehru Planetarium NSCI bus stop is a 3-minute walk to the Dome.
  • From Mumbai International Airport: About 17.7 km / 30 minutes via the Bandra-Worli Sea Link and Western Express Highway.
  • By car: The venue has on-site parking for around 150 cars. Expect overflow on a sold-out night — pre-book a ride or plan a drop-off rather than self-parking.

Pro tip: Worli traffic peaks between 6 PM and 9 PM on a Sunday. If you’ve got a late-afternoon entry slot, leave anywhere south of Bandra by 4:30 PM at the latest. The Sea Link itself is fast — it’s the on-ramp queues that eat the time.

When Is Elrow Bengaluru 2026 and Where Is the Venue?

Elrow Bengaluru 2026 takes place on Saturday, 23 May 2026, with doors opening at 3:00 PM and an expected attendance of around 15,000 (District.inCitytoday Media). The official venue had not been publicly announced at the time of writing — we’re refreshing this page within 24 hours of the announcement, so check back.

For sizing context, recent large-format electronic events in Bengaluru have used NICE Grounds, Embassy International Riding School and District Arena @ Terraform (Yelahanka). Any of these would be a reasonable bet, and they share three things: they’re 30–60 minutes from MG Road on a clean traffic day, surge pricing post-midnight is the universal pain point, and parking is limited.

What we’d suggest while the venue is still TBA: book a flexible-cancellation stay (we explain where in the next sections), keep your morning of 23 May open, and don’t commit to a 6 PM dinner reservation that’s far from the venue zone.

Who’s Playing at Elrow India 2026?

The Elrow India 2026 lineup includes seven international artists across both dates: Almost Human, AVO, Grossomodo, Samm, Shimza, Tini Gessler and Wade. The set spans house, tech-house and Afro-house, which is characteristic of elrow’s global rotation (Filmibeat). As of writing, the same lineup is confirmed for both Mumbai and Bengaluru.

  • Shimza — South African DJ and Kunye founder, known for his Afro-house sound and high-energy festival sets.
  • Wade — Spanish tech-house producer with releases on Hot Creations and Solid Grooves; one of the most-booked elrow regulars.
  • Tini Gessler — Spanish DJ who’s been part of elrow’s resident roster for years; expect a tight, danceable tech-house set.
  • Samm — Belgian producer working between melodic house and emotional progressive — usually plays the longer, more atmospheric slots.
  • Almost Human — Spanish duo blending house with hip-hop influences; great early-set energy-builder.
  • AVO — French DJ with releases on La Fraicheur and Solid Grooves.
  • Grossomodo — Spanish house producer; expect groove-heavy selections.

Pro tip: Elrow sets typically run 6–9 hours of continuous music. Pacing matters more than locking in a “headliner slot” — eat early, hydrate hard, and treat the whole night as a marathon.

Where Can I Buy Elrow India 2026 Tickets?

Mumbai tickets sell on BookMyShow; Bengaluru tickets are exclusive to District by Zomato. Registrations for Mumbai opened 30 March, with early-access sales from 1 April and general sales from 2 April. Bengaluru early-bird passes opened 3 April. As of writing, ticket inventory was still available — but prices typically tier up sharply in the final week before the event (Filmibeat).

How elrow tickets typically tier:

  • Phase 1 / Early Bird — sold out before April for both dates
  • Phase 2 / General Admission — current tier as of early May
  • Final Release / Door Sales — most expensive, usually a last-week bump
  • VIP / Premium — limited inventory; check platform for current availability

Two ticketing rules that will save you grief:

  1. Stick to official platforms only. Listings on Viagogo, Vivid Seats, Ticketsmarter and similar resale sites aren’t recognised at Indian venues. Don’t risk a refused entry.
  2. Take a screenshot of your ticket QR code before you leave Wi-Fi. Venue connectivity at the gate is unreliable on a sold-out night, and a dead BookMyShow login will hold up the queue behind you.

Where Should You Stay for Elrow Mumbai?

For Elrow Mumbai, the smart play is to stay south of Bandra — Worli, Mahalaxmi, Lower Parel, Bandra itself, Prabhadevi or Juhu — so you can reach NSCI Dome in 15–25 minutes pre-festival and skip the surge cabs at 4 AM. For couples and pairs, central Mumbai hotels work fine. For groups of 4–30 people travelling in, a private villa is usually cheaper per head than the equivalent block of hotel rooms, and it gives the after-elrow recovery a place to actually happen.

Across our festival weekends (Sunburn 2024–25, NH7 in earlier years), the pattern we see is consistent: groups arrive Friday or Saturday, take Saturday easy, hit the festival on Sunday, and use the villa as their decompression base on Monday before flying back. The post-festival day is the one that turns a one-night event into a long weekend. With NSCI Dome in Worli, the best stays sit a short drive away in Karjat, Lonavala or Alibaug — close enough to drive in for the festival, far enough to actually wind down.

Three StayVista picks for Elrow Mumbai weekend groups:

Middle Earth — Karjat (8 BHK, sleeps up to 30)

Best for: large groups travelling in for Elrow as a crew.

Distance from NSCI Dome: ~85 km / 2 hours via the Mumbai-Pune Expressway.

Eight bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a private pool and the kind of open space that makes a 20-person group not feel cramped. Karjat Railway Station is 7.7 km away, so anyone arriving by train can join without a car. Check-in: 2 PM, check-out: 11 AM.

La Palm — Lonavala (8 BHK, sleeps up to 16)

Best for: groups who want resort-grade amenities for the post-festival day.

Distance from NSCI Dome: ~95 km / 2.5 hours via the Expressway.

A sprawling 3-acre property with a 22×70 ft swimming pool, kids’ pool, jacuzzi, full gym, tennis and basketball courts. Eight bedrooms across an estate that genuinely feels like its own compound — useful when 16 people need space to recover at different speeds on Monday.

Ember & Sage — Alibaug (twin 5 BHK villas, sleeps up to 20+)

Best for: two groups travelling together who want side-by-side privacy.

Access from Mumbai: ferry from Gateway of India + 30-min drive, or 110 km by road via Mandwa.

Two identical 5-bedroom villas with semi-indoor pools, a 10,000 sq ft lawn, paddy-field views and a games room. The configuration is unusually good for festival groups that want to split (early-sleepers in one villa, late-night talkers in the other) without giving up the shared-base feeling.

Pro tip: 4-bedroom-and-above properties go first on festival weekends. If you’re a group of 8+ and you haven’t locked your stay yet, do that before you finalise dinner plans.

Where Should You Stay for Elrow Bengaluru?

For Elrow Bengaluru, your stay zone depends on the venue (still TBA at the time of writing). The safe bet is to pick a property that works for any of the three likely venue zones — Yelahanka/Devanahalli (north), NICE Road belt (south-west) or Whitefield (east) — and lock it in before announcement-week prices kick in. Saturday is a 6+ hour set, Sunday is a write-off, and the Sunday checkout is what turns this into a real weekend.

Three StayVista picks for Elrow Bengaluru weekend groups:

M Villa — Devanahalli (5 BHK, sleeps up to 10)

Best for: groups whose venue lands in north Bengaluru (Yelahanka or Devanahalli).

Location: 9.8 km from Kempegowda Airport, 19.3 km from Nandi Hills.

Five bedrooms with king-sized beds, a private swimming pool, lush garden, balcony and outdoor seating. The location is unusually convenient — close to KIA for incoming flights, close enough to the airport-belt venues that elrow Bengaluru is most likely to use, and 30 minutes to a Nandi Hills sunrise on Sunday morning if anyone’s still standing.

Firefly Homestay — Whitefield (outdoor pool)

Best for: groups whose venue lands in the Whitefield or NICE Road belt.

Location: Whitefield, east Bengaluru.

An outdoor pool homestay positioned in the heart of Whitefield — the right zone if elrow announces an east-Bengaluru venue (District Arena @ Terraform, Phoenix Marketcity grounds, or any of the Whitefield-area open-format venues). Easy reach to ITPL, Phoenix, and the Old Madras Road belt for Friday-night warm-up dinners.

Nandi Hills villa collection — weekend extension

Best for: the post-festival recovery day, especially if the venue lands in the north of the city.

Distance from Bengaluru: ~60 km / 90 minutes.

If your group is taking the Saturday-Sunday-Monday window, a Nandi Hills villa is the obvious pick — sunrise views, cooler temperatures, and far enough from the city that the festival headache fades. Pair this with a Friday-night Whitefield or central-Bengaluru stay, drive up Sunday afternoon, and check out Monday.

What Should You Do the Day Before Elrow?

Both elrow events run late, and most attendees arrive a day or two early. The trick is to use the daytime smartly — don’t burn yourself out on heavy sightseeing, alcohol-heavy lunches or marathon walking tours. The festival is the marathon. The pre-day is the warm-up.

Mumbai pre-festival day (Saturday, 16 May)

  • Morning: Bandra brunch — Bastian, Out of the Blue, or any of the Pali Hill options. Free entry, opens 9 AM, allow 90 minutes.
  • Late morning: Worli Sea Face walk — free, best between 7 AM and 11 AM, 45 minutes.
  • Afternoon: Quick Sea Link drive or a slow ride along Marine Drive. Sea Link toll is around ₹85 one-way; allow 30–40 minutes round-trip from Bandra.
  • Evening: Light dinner near Lower Parel (Kamala Mills, Phoenix Palladium). Avoid heavy meals — you don’t want to be uncomfortable on the dance floor.
  • What to skip: Elephanta Caves day-trip (3+ hours, exhausting); Sanjay Gandhi National Park (full-day commitment); long temple visits.

Bengaluru pre-festival day (Friday, 22 May)

  • Morning: Cubbon Park walk — free, opens 6 AM (closed Mondays and second/fourth Tuesdays), 60 minutes.
  • Late morning: Indiranagar coffee crawl — Third Wave, Blue Tokai, Subko. Allow 90 minutes.
  • Afternoon: Lunch and shopping in 12th Main Indiranagar or 100 Feet Road; or a relaxed Koramangala wander.
  • Evening: Light dinner in Koramangala or Whitefield depending on where the venue lands. Skip heavy late-night drinking — you’ve got Saturday’s marathon coming.
  • What to skip: Day trips to Mysore or Coorg (save those for after the festival); long brewery sessions on Friday night.

What Should First-Timers Expect at Elrow?

Elrow is a 6–9 hour marathon of music, theatre and dancing. Dress for movement and the colourful theme. Bring earplugs (most Elrow venues hand them out for free, but bring a backup pair anyway), a small crossbody for hands-free dancing, and your government photo ID. Treat the night as a marathon, not a sprint — hydrate, eat before, pace your energy (NIGHTMAG).

What to wear

  • Bright, festive colours that match the Kaos Garden theme — leaning into the costumed energy makes the night more fun, not less
  • Comfortable shoes you can dance in for 6+ hours (no heels, no brand-new shoes you haven’t broken in)
  • Light layers — Indian May means heat outside and full air-conditioning inside the Dome
  • Skip oversized bags — most venues won’t allow them past the gate

What to bring

  • Government photo ID (Aadhaar/Passport/Driving Licence) — non-negotiable for 18+ entry
  • Charged phone + power bank (small, slim form factor — large ones are sometimes refused)
  • Small crossbody or fanny pack — fits phone, ID, cash, lip balm
  • Earplugs (a basic foam pair will do)
  • Screenshot of your e-ticket QR — saved to your phone gallery, not just BookMyShow login

What to expect

  • Confetti drops at multiple points through the night — you’ll find some in your shoes the next morning
  • Costumed performers walking through the crowd, interacting in unexpected ways
  • Massive theatrical set-pieces — flying mountains, multi-coloured skulls, mythical creatures
  • A high-energy main set that builds and rebuilds across 6–9 hours, not a single “headliner slot”

Pro tip: First-time attendees usually describe elrow as “Disneyland for adults.” That’s the lens to bring. Going in with a stoic clubbing mindset misses the point.

Festival Safety & Practical Notes

Both Mumbai and Bengaluru editions are strictly 18+ with photo ID required at the gate. Both venues operate cashless — UPI and cards work everywhere; carry minimal cash. Re-entry is typically not allowed once you exit the venue, so plan your full night before you go in. Lockers are available on-site for valuables, and free water is part of standard elrow venue operations.

Practical checklist

  • ID at the gate: required, photo match enforced
  • Payment: UPI/cards; carry ₹500–₹1,000 cash for cab and emergencies only
  • Re-entry: usually not allowed — confirm at gate
  • Bag policy: small bags only; oversized bags refused
  • Outside food/drink: not allowed
  • Cameras: phones yes, professional cameras no (without media accreditation)
  • Lockers: available on-site; budget ₹150–₹300 for the night
  • Water: free water taps available; refillable bottles allowed if empty at entry
  • Solo/women attendees: share live location with a trusted friend; pre-book your exit cab around 2–3 AM rather than fighting for one at 4 AM

Frequently Asked Questions

When is Elrow happening in India?

Elrow India 2026 has two dates: Mumbai on Sunday, 17 May 2026 at NSCI Dome, SVP Stadium (Worli), and Bengaluru on Saturday, 23 May 2026, with the venue still to be announced. Both are 18+, produced by Sunburn India, and feature the same global lineup.

How do I buy Elrow India 2026 tickets?

Mumbai tickets are sold on BookMyShow. Bengaluru tickets are exclusive to District by Zomato. Avoid third-party resale sites — only official platforms are recognised at the gate, so listings on Viagogo, Vivid Seats or similar carry a real refusal risk.

Is Elrow India 18+?

Yes. Both Mumbai and Bengaluru editions are strictly 18+ and require government-issued photo ID at the gate (Aadhaar, Passport or Driving Licence work). Photo match is enforced. Don’t show up without ID — there’s no workaround.

What time does Elrow Mumbai start?

Doors typically open in the late afternoon for Elrow’s daytime-into-night format. Bengaluru has confirmed 3:00 PM doors (District.in). Mumbai timings are typically similar — check the entry window printed on your specific ticket. Sets usually run 6–9 hours of continuous music.

What is the dress code at Elrow?

No formal dress code, but the ‘Kaos Garden’ theme rewards bright, colourful, movement-friendly outfits. Comfortable shoes you can dance in for 6+ hours are essential. Avoid heels and oversized bags. Light layers help — Indian May is hot outside; the Dome is fully air-conditioned inside.

How do I reach NSCI Dome from Mumbai airport?

NSCI Dome is about 17.7 km from Mumbai International Airport, roughly 30 minutes via the Bandra-Worli Sea Link and Western Express Highway. The nearest Mumbai Metro station is Acharya Atre Chowk on Line 3, an 11-minute walk to the venue (Moovit). Allow buffer time on Sundays — Worli traffic peaks 6–9 PM.

Where should out-of-town visitors stay for Elrow Mumbai?

For groups of 4+, a private villa typically beats hotels on cost-per-head and recovery space. Our Mumbai villa collection has properties. For couples and pairs, hotels in Worli, Lower Parel or Bandra are closest to the venue.

Where should groups stay for Elrow Bengaluru?

The right zone depends on the venue (still TBA). For Yelahanka/Devanahalli announcements, stay in Hebbal/Yelahanka or extend to Nandi Hills. For Whitefield/NICE Road, stay in Whitefield or pair with Sakleshpur/Coorg afterwards. StayVista’s Bangalore inventory covers all four zones.

What is the Kaos Garden theme?

Kaos Garden is elrow’s signature theme designed by Spanish artist Okuda San Miguel as a surreal reinterpretation of Hieronymus Bosch’s The Garden of Earthly Delights — colourful skulls, flying mountains, mythical creatures and immersive stage installations. The Bengaluru edition runs the newer ‘Neo Kaos Garden’ evolution of the same theme (elrow.com).

Is Elrow India worth it for first-timers?

Elrow is widely described as one of the most theatrical electronic festival experiences globally — over 6 million attendees across 50+ cities since 2010 (Wikipedia). First-timers typically come away describing it as “Disneyland for adults.” If you enjoy house, tech-house, and immersive theatrical staging, yes — and India has waited seven years for this return.

Plan Your Elrow Weekend

Two cities, two dates, one of the most theatrical electronic music brands on the planet. Mumbai on 17 May at NSCI Dome. Bengaluru on 23 May, venue TBA. Tickets on BookMyShow and District by Zomato respectively. The festival is the centrepiece, but the weekend is the actual story — where you stay, who you travel with, and how you decompress on Sunday and Monday is what turns a single Saturday night into a memory worth flying in for.

If you’re travelling in with a group, browse StayVista’s villas in Mumbai or villas in Bangalore to lock in your stay before the venue announcements push prices. We’ll keep this guide updated as Bengaluru details land — bookmark this page or check back the day before.

See you on the dance floor.
